Reborn Baby Kaelyn from the Kaelyn reborn kit sculpted by Tamie Yarie limited addition number 140 of 400.
Baby Kaelyn has been brought to life from a limited edition kit number 140 of 400 sculpted by Tamie Yarie she has been lovingly brought to life using Genesis Heat Set Paints, these paints are permanent and will not fade or chip.
Before starting the painting process she had a very hot baby bubble bath so she has that beautiful baby smell.
I have given Kaelyn some very subtle blue veins painted on different parts of her body that are just visible through her skin.
Using my very own skin tone mix as a base coat I then started building the different skin tones of dark and shade over many hours sealing each layer at very high temperatures so it will not fade or chip.
Her fingers and toe nails have been given some slight blushing and had off white tips added then sealed with varnish. She has ¾ arms and legs and is 17inch long and weighs 4 and a ½ lb
I have given her superb quality wispy light brown Mohair which has been hand micro rooted. Her eyelashes have been hand micro rooted in the same soft light brown mohair
Her limbs have been weighted with high quality ultra fine glass beads. her body has been filled with some squidgy baby fat also for extra weight I have used a small amount of metal shot placed inside a bag so it does not touch her jointed cloth body this has been toped with high quality fibre fill and baby fat.
Her head has been weighted with slightly larger glass beads (but still very fine) to give the weight needed for her head to flop, her head will need supporting as it is very floppy just like a new born infant.
I’ve Opened Kaelyn’s nose then shaded the inside to add depth,
I’ve also backed her nose with dark felt.
Her lips have been Shaded using several different shades of Genesis paint.
