Baby Michelle has have been lovingly brought to life using Genesis Heat Set Paints, these paints are permanent and will not fade or chip.
Before starting the painting process she had a very hot baby bubble bath so she has that beautiful baby smell.
Using my very own skin tone mix as a base coat I started building the different skin tones of dark and shade over many hours sealing each layer at very high temperatures so paint it will not fade or chip.
I then added some light blue veins on different parts of her body that are just visible through her skin for that extra touch of realism. I have also given Michelle that real baby mottled skin look which suits her perfectly.
Her fingers and toe nails have been given some slight blushing with off white tips added then sealed with varnish. She has ¾ arms and 1/4 legs.
I have given Michelle very soft dark micro rooted hair that can be gently styled using water. She also has micro rooted eyelashes in the same soft mohair.
Michelle’s body has been weighted using steel shot placed inside a sealed unit so no leakage can occur, heavy weight filling and baby fat, her arms and legs have ultra fine glass sand topped with fibre fill. Her body is a fully jointed skin toned cloth body.
Her head has been weighted with slightly larger glass beads (but still very fine) to give the weight needed for her head to flop.
All this gives Michelle that very life like baby feel and makes her a real pleasure to hold.
I’ve Opened Michelle’s nose shading the inside to add depth, also backed her nose with dark felt then added just a touch.
Her lips have been painted using several different shades of paint.
